Rank #5 in the USA · Best for 50+
OurTime review
OurTime is the best dedicated U.S. dating site if you are 50 or older and do not want to explain that on a youth-first app.
Pros
- ✓ You are not competing with 24-year-olds
- ✓ Clearer expectations around divorce, retirement, and family
- ✓ Better fit than Tinder for most people over 55
Cons
- – Design feels dated next to Hinge
- – Smaller pool in sparsely populated counties
Most dating products in America were designed for people who still split brunch. OurTime was designed for people who might split a 401(k). That difference shows up in photos, bios, and opening messages. Members talk about grown kids, lost spouses, travel, and what they will not compromise on.
We recommend it over Match for users whose main filter is age. Match has older members, but they sit inside a mixed pool. OurTime’s entire neighborhood is 50+. First dates feel less awkward. You are not translating slang.
The interface is simpler, which is a plus if you prefer a computer to a phone. Safety advice still applies: romance scams disproportionately target older Americans. Video-call before you wire anything, and never move a chat to a “investment advisor” who found you on a dating site.
If you are 45–49, try Match first. If you are 50+, start here, then add Match if you want a wider net.
